What is Post Construction Cleaning?

Post-construction cleaning is thoroughly cleaning and preparing a newly constructed or renovated space for occupancy. This includes removing all debris, dust, and other contaminants that have accumulated during the construction process.

The goal of post-construction cleaning is to ensure that the space is clean, safe, and ready for occupancy and that the building’s systems and structures are protected from damage caused by dust and debris.

The post-construction cleaning process typically includes dusting and cleaning all surfaces, vacuuming and sweeping all floors, cleaning windows and glass surfaces, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens, and removing all debris, trash, and excess materials from the property.

It also includes cleaning HVAC systems, ducts, and vents, and cleaning and polishing all hardware, including doorknobs, light fixtures, and cabinet pull.

The process is usually divided into three phases: rough, touch-up, and final. Each phase has its own set of tasks, and it’s essential to follow the appropriate procedures for each phase to ensure that the space is appropriately cleaned and ready for occupation.
